Procedure
To a solution of hydrochloride salt of N-{3-[4-(3-aza-bicyclo[3.1.0]hex-1-yl)-phenyl]-2-oxo-oxazolidin-5(S)-yl-methyl}-acetamide (Intermediate IV) (80 mg, 0.23 mmol) in DCM (2 mL) were added triethylamine (0.13 mL, 0.92 mmol) and acetyl chloride (0.02 mL, 0.34 mmol) at 0° C. and progress of the reaction was monitored by TLC. On completion, the reaction mixture was diluted with water (10 mL) and extracted with DCM (2×20 mL). The organic layer was washed with brine (10 mL), dried over anhydrous sodium sulphate and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by column chromatography (silica gel, 0.83:9.17 MeOH:CHCl3) to provide the title compound (42 mg, 51%) as white solid.
