Procedure
A solution of intermediate 24 (0.92 mmol) and TFA (10 mL) in DCM (50 mL) was stirred at RT for 3 h. The reaction mixture was concentrated, diluted with a minimum of MeOH and water was added. The pH was adjusted to ca pH12 with 4N NaOH. The fine suspension was sonicated for 15 min, collected by filtration, rinsed with water and dried under high vacuum to afford the title compound 25 (578 mg, 0.9 mmol, 98% yield, TFA salt) as a pale ivory solid. 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ (ppm): 8.78-8.61 (m, 1H), 8.57 (d, J=1.6 Hz, 1H), 8.53 (d, J=5.5 Hz, 1H), 8.33 (s, 1H), 8.23 (d, J=8.2 Hz, 1H), 8.02 (t, J=7.8 Hz, 1H), 7.90 (dd, J=8.1, 2.1 Hz, 1H), 7.28 (td, J=9.0, 2.1 Hz, 1H), 7.16-7.01 (m, 1H), 6.75 (d, J=5.3 Hz, 1H), 3.78 (d, J=6.1 Hz, 2H), 3.41 (t, J=5.7 Hz, 2H), 3.24 (s, 3H), 2.65 (q, J=6.0 Hz, 2H), 2.61-2.53 (m, 1H), 2.30-2.21 (m, 1H), 0.72-0.58 (m, 2H), 0.49-0.36 (m, 2H). MS (m/z): 526.6 (M+H).
