2-Bromo-N-(3,5-dibromopyrazin-2-yl)acetamide (3.30 g, 8.83 mmol) and 2-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)ethanamine hydrochloride (1.46, 8.83 mmol) and diisopropyl ethylamine (6.67 mL, 35.3 mmol) were combined and heated at 85° C. Upon complete consumption of starting material (by TLC), the reaction solution was condensed and purified via Biotage chromatography (0-100% ethyl acetate in hexanes) to afford the title compound (1.53 g, 4.48 mmol, 50% yield). MS (ESI) m/z 341.4 [M]+, 343.1 [M+2]+.
