Procedure

The preparation was carried out as already described starting from 125 mg (0.35 mmol) of 4-[5-(5,5,8,8-tetramethyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphthalen-2-yl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl]piperidine and 76 μl (0.53 mmol) of 4-bromobutyl acetate. The protecting group was cleaved off by means of a 1N NaOH solution in methanol. The product was purified by means of preparative HPLC and converted into the hydrochloride by treatment with methanolic HCl.
