Procedure

The preparation is carried out as described starting from 104 mg (0.26 mmol) of 1-[4-(5,8-dimethyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphthalen-2-yl)thiazol-2-yl]piperidin-4-ylamine hydrochloride and 55 μl (0.26 mmol) of (tert-butyldimethylsilanyloxy)acetaldehyde. The protecting group is cleaved off using a 4N HCl solution in dioxane. The purification is carried out by means of preparative HPLC. The product is in the form of the hydrochloride.
