To the solution of 8-11 (200 mg, 0.58 mmol) in dioxane (10 mL) was added phenylboronic acid (86 mg, 0.70 mmol), Pd(PPh3)4 (68 mg, 0.06 mmol), and Cs2CO3 (760 mg, 2.3 mmol) under nitrogen atmosphere. The reaction mixture was refluxed overnight, poured into water and extracted with ethyl acetate (20 mL×3). The separated organic layer was dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by flash chromatography (elution with petroleum ether:ethyl acetate=1:1) to afford 8-12 (160 mg, 81%) as white solid. LCMS: calc 340.4 and found 341.1 [MH]+.
