Procedure
To a solution of 28-3 (100 mg, 0.28 mmol) in THF (10 mL) was added lithium aluminum hydride (44 mg, 1.15 mmol) in portions. The mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. NaSO4.10H2O was added, then the mixture was filtered and the filtrate was evaporated. The crude product was purified by preparative HPLC (acid conditions) to afford 28-4 (10 mg, 11%) as a yellow solid. 1H-NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ (ppm) 6.83 (s, 1H), 6.66 (d, J=6.6 Hz, 1H), 4.21 (q, J=7.2 Hz, 2H), 3.80 (s, 3H), 3.04 (t, J=7.2 Hz, 2H), 2.77-2.69 (m, 6H), 2.62-2.60 (br.s, 2H), 2.40 (s, 6H), 1.85-1.78 (m, 2H), 1.42 (t, J=6.8 Hz, 3H). LRMS: calc 321.4 and found: 322.0 [M+1].
