Procedure
To a solution of 30-12 (45 mg, 0.17 mmol) in MeOH (10 mL) was added 2N NaOH (8 mL). The mixture was refluxed for one hour. After cooled to room temperature, the mixture was neutralized with hydrochloric acid to pH=7, extracted with ethyl acetate (3×100 mL). The combined organic layer was washed with brine (30 mL), dried over MgSO4 and concentrated to afford 30-13 (40 mg, 94%) as a yellow solid. LRMS: calc 251.1 and found: 252.0 [M+1].
