A mixture of 40-4 (0.16 g, 0.45 mmol), NaOAc (0.9 g, 0.74 mmol) and 10% Pd/C (0.2 g) in ethyl acetate (20 mL) was stirred under H2 at room temperature for 12 h. The solid was filtered off and the filtrate was concentrated to obtain the desired product 40-5 (0.12 g, 97%) as a yellow solid, which was used in the next step without further purification. LCMS: calc 275.0 found 276.0 [MH]+.
