Procedure
To a solution of example 146 (0.100 g, 0.269 mmol) in acetic acid (1 ml), hydrogen peroxide solution (50%, 1 ml) and heated to 100° C. After 12 h, the mixture was concentrated, extracted with chloroform, washed with brine, dried over sodium sulphate and concentrated. The crude product was purified by column chromatography using dichloromethane: methanol to afford the title compound as an off-white solid (0.015 g, 14%), M.P.: 222-224° C. 1H-NMR (δ ppm, DMSO-d6, 400 MHz): 8.58-8.48 (m, 4H), 8.19 (s, 1H), 8.08 (s, 1H), 7.93 (d, J=8.5 Hz, 1H), 7.85 (dd, J=9.0, 1.8 Hz, 1H), 7.82 (d, J=8.8 Hz, 1H), 7.47 (dd, J=8.4, 6.0 Hz, 1H), 6.12 (s, 2H), 4.95 (t, J=5.2 Hz, 1H), 4.22 (t, J=5.5 Hz, 2H), 3.77 (q, J=5.5 Hz, 2H).
