Reaction Steps
A mixture of tert-butyl 8-(1-methylethenyl)-2,3-dihydrothieno[2,3-f][1,4]oxazepine-4(5H)-carboxylate (270 mg), 10% palladium on carbon (50 mg) and EtOH (5 mL) was stirred for 12 hr under a hydrogen atmosphere. The insoluble material was filtered off, and the filtrate was concentrated to give the title compound (270 mg, 99.6%) as an oil.
