tert-Butyl (2S)-2-methyl-8-(2,2,2-trifluoro-1-methylethyl)-2,3-dihydrothieno[2,3-f][1,4]oxazepine-4(5H)-carboxylate (475 mg) was stirred in 4 N hydrogen chloride-ethyl acetate solution (10 mL) for 15 min. The reaction solution was concentrated, and the residue was recrystallized from diethyl ether to give the title compound (365 mg, 93%) as colorless crystals.
