A mixture of (9S)-9-(4-((tert-butyldimethylsilyl)oxy)phenyl)-3,4,6,7,8,9-hexahydropyrido[2,1-c][1,2,4]thiadiazine 2,2-dioxide (13.7 g) and 6 M HCl aq. (17.4 mL) in MeOH (350 mL) was stirred at 60° C. for 2 hr. After cooling to room temperature, the precipitate was collected and washed with MeOH to give the title compound (8.20 g) as a white solid.
