(R)-tert-butyl 1-(4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)phenyl)ethylcarbamate (727 mg, 2.09 mmol) was dissolved in CH2Cl2 (4 mL) and a solution of HCl in dioxane (4M, 4 mL). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for overnight. LCMS indicated the reaction was complete. The reaction solution was concentrated in vacuo to afford the title compound as a white solid (1.00 g).
