A mixture of trans-4-trifluoromethyl-cyclohexyl-carboxylic acid (10.7 g, 54.3 mmol) and thionylchloride (10 mL, 138 mmol) in 100 mL dichloromethane with 200 μL DMF was refluxed for 2 h. The mixture was concentrated i.vac. and triturated with dichloromethane. The residue was reacted without further purification.
