Procedure
A solution of methyl 1-(2,5-difluoro-4-morpholin-4-ylphenyl)-5-methoxy-4-oxo-1,4-dihydropyridazine-3-carboxylate (2.7 g, 7.1 mmol) and 2 M NaOH aqueous solution (7.2 mL, 14.4 mmol) in EtOH (14 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 16 h. To the mixture was added 1 M HCl aqueous solution (14 mL). The precipitate was collected by filtration and dried over under reduced pressure to give the title compound (2.5 g, 96% yield) as a white solid: 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6): δ ppm 3.00-3.24 (4H, m), 3.67-3.82 (4H, m), 3.88 (3H, s), 7.23 (1H, dd, J=12.7, 7.7 Hz), 7.74 (1H, dd, J=12.8, 7.2 Hz), 8.83 (1H, d, J=1.1 Hz), 14.95 (1H, brs). LC-MS (ESI) m/z 368 [M+H]+.
