Procedure
Cyanuric chloride (10.0 g, 54.2 mmol, 1.0 eq.) was dissolved in methylene chloride (60 ml) and morpholine (4.70 ml, 54.2 mmol, 1.0 eq.) was slowly added (drop by drop) to the reaction mixture at −50° C., stirred for 20 minutes at the same temperature and poured into water. After extraction with methylene chloride and ethyl acetate (2×), the organic layers were dried over MgSO4 and concentrated. Further purification was done by flash chromatography (1:1 hexane/ethyl acetate) to yield the title compound as a colorless solid (3.56 g, 28%).
