The title compound was prepared using the procedure described in Example 52(b) starting from ethyl 2-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-imidazole-4-carboxylate (9.5 mmol, 2 g) and SEM-Cl (11.5 mmol, 2.1 ml). Yield 1.9 g. 1H-NMR (400 MHz; CDCl3): δ −0.01 (s, 9H), 0.91 (t, 2H), 1.40 (t, 3H), 3.54 (t, 2H), 4.40 (q, 2H), 5.43 (s, 2H), 7.85 (s, 1H).
