A solution of tert-butyl 1-(7-(3,4-dimethoxyphenylamino)thiazolo[5,4-d]pyrimidin-5-yl)pyrrolidin-3-ylcarbamate (191 mg, 0.40 mmol) in 50 mL of saturated HCl in dioxane was stirred at room temperature for 24 hours. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure to give 5-(3-aminopyrrolidin-1-yl)-N-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)thiazolo[5,4-d]pyrimidin-7-amine hydrochloride (165 mg, 100%) as a solid. This was used directly in the next step without further purification. LC-MS: 373.1 [M+H]+, tR=1.15 min.
