From the reaction of 0.75 g. of 2-(methoxycarbonylamino)-6-(phenylthio) imidazo [1,2-a] pyridine and 0.83 ml. acetic acid, 18 ml. of 37% formaldehyde and 0.216 g. of morpholine, following the procedure of Example 8, there is obtained 3-(morpholinomethyl)-2-(methoxycarbonylamino)-6-(phenylthio) imidazo [1,2-a] pyridine m.p. 158°-182° C.
