3.4 g (0.013 mole) of 3-methyl-5-[2-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)-styryl]-isoxazole and 2.3 g (0.039 mole) of isopropylamine in 50 ml of isopropanol are refluxed for 8 hours. When the reaction solution has cooled, it is filtered, and concentrated on a rotary evaporator. 3.8 g of solid residue are obtained and are recrystallized from toluene, giving 2.4 g (58% of theory) of colorless crystals, melting point 106°-108° C.
