Procedure
A solution of 5-methylthio-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-carbonyl chloride (0.601 g., 3.36 mmole) in dioxane (10 ml.) was added to a solution of 4-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-2-(1-piperazinyl)quinazoline (0.972 g., 3.36 mmole) in dioxane (100 ml.). The resultant mixture was stirred at room temperature for 65 hours, then was heated at reflux for 30 minutes. Filtration gave the title compound (1.56 g.). Recrystallization from methanol gave a product having a M.P. of 280°-285° C. with decomposition.
