To 200 ml of acetonitrile were added 3.7 g of 1-(3-amino-4,6-difluorophenyl)-7-chloro-6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-1,8-naphthyridine-3-carboxylic acid, 2.18 g of 3-aminoazetidine dihydrochloride, and 6.06 g of triethylamine. The solution was stirred at 80° C. for 15 hours. The reaction solution was cooled whereupon the precipitated solid was collected by filtration and washed with ethanol and isopropyl ether to give 3.7 g of the title compound.
