Reaction Steps
1-[3-(N-t-Butoxycarbonylpiperid-4-yl)indol-5-yl]-3H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridine was used, and methylene chloride was used as the solvent. Filtration afforded the title compound (100%) as a yellow solid: mp 260°-268° C. with effervescence; 13C NMR (CD3OD) δ 149.7, 145.6, 144.0, 138.5, 127.7, 126.0, 125.8, 125.5, 124.6, 123.9, 120.6, 119.7, 117.4, 113.7, 45.7, 32.6, 30.7; FAB LRMS (m/z, relative intensity) 318 (M+, 22), 277 (12), 261 (4), 235 (5), 185 (100).
