Procedure

To the bromide of Example 6 (300 mg, 0.746 mmol) in THF (10 mL) was added 1.5 mL of a 1M THF solution of potassium tert-butoxide. The resulting mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 h. The reaction mixture was then partitioned between 25% NH4OAc and EtOAc. The organic phase was dried over Na2SO4, filtered and evaporated. After flash chromatography, 100 mg of the title compound was obtained.
