Crude 5-chloro-1-isobutyl-3-methyl-6-(4-(pyridin-2-yl)benzyl)-1H-pyrrolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine-2,4(3H,6H)-dione (0.032 mmol) is placed in a Biotage microwave tube, and then aniline (0.2 mL) is added. The mixture is heated at 150° C. for an hour, and then purified by a semi-preparative HPLC to give 7 mg of pure product (overall yield:46%). MS (ESI) m/z 480.2 [M+H]+.
