Acetonitrile (383 μl), a 5.788 mol/L aqueous hydrochloric acid solution (5.67 μl, 1.05 eq.) and water (4.15 μl) were added to N-{4-[2-amino-5-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)pyridin-3-yl]phenyl}-5-(4-fluorophenyl)-4-oxo-1-(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)-1,4-dihydropyridine-3-carboxamide (19.64 mg, 31.75 μmol) at room temperature. After stirring at 40° C. for about 24 hours, the precipitated solid was collected by filtration. The solid was then dried at room temperature to give the title compound (12.42 mg). Yield: 60%.
