Using the procedure described for compound 51, (R)-4-(4-methoxylbenzenesulfonyl)-3-(prop-2-ynyl)-3,4-dihydropyrazin-2(1H)-one afforded the title compound as a tan solid. 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6): δ 2.65 (m, 1H), 2.86 (m, 2H), 2.90 (s, 1H), 3.05 (m, 1H), 3.61 (m, 2H), 3.87 (s, 3H), 4.25 (t, 5.4 Hz, 1H), 7.08 (d, 8.3 Hz, 2H), 7.81 (d, 8.3 Hz, 2H), 8.06 (s, 1H).
