Procedure
To a suspension of compound (3) (4.44 g, 14.3 mmol) in H2O (100 mL) was added methanesulfonic acid (0.93 mL, 14.3 mmol). The resulting mixture was stirred at room temperature until the solid had completely dissolved. The solution was then frozen and lyophilized to afford the desired product as a light pinkish solid.
Workup
- dissolutionhad completely dissolved
- temperatureThe solution was then frozen
