Hydrochloric acid (4.0 M in dioxane; 3 mL, 12.0 mmol) was added to a solution of tert-butyl [(3R,6S)-6-(2,3-difluorophenyl)-2-thioxo-1-(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)azepan-3-yl]carbamate (105 mg, 0.239 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (3 mL). After 1 h, the reaction was concentrated to give the title compound as a bis hydrochloride salt (96 mg). MS 339.1 (M+1).
