Hydrochloric acid (4.0 M in dioxane; 3 mL, 12.0 mmol) was added to a solution of tert-butyl [(6S,9R)-6-(2,3-difluorophenyl)-3-ethyl-2,5,6,7,8,9-hexahydro-3H-imidazo[1,2-a]azepin-9-yl]carbamate (122 mg, 0.310 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (3 mL). After 1 h, the reaction was concentrated to give the title compound as a bis hydrochloride salt (136 mg). MS 294.1 (M+1).
