Procedure
The compound from step D (0.53 g, 0.92 mmol) was mixed with ethyl alcohol (8 mL) and 2N HCl (8 mL) and heated at 90° C. for 2 h, 50° C. overnight. The mixture was evaporated to dryness and purified by reversed phase HPLC eluting with a gradient of 10% to 60% of acetonitrile/water with 0.1% TFA. The desired fractions were evaporated to dryness and treated with 2N HCl/ethanol to give the HCl salt. The salt was dried in high vacuum at 78° C. overnight to give the title compound (0.18 g, 45%). LCMS (+APCI) 359 (M+H).
