To a solution of 148 mg (0.21 mmol) of the product from step C in 2 mL of chloroform was added 2 ml of piperidine. The resulting mixture was allowed to stir at room temperature under argon for 3.5 hours. The reaction mixture was then concentrated and the residue purified on a Gilson prep LC system. The product was lophilized to obtain 47 mg (0.08 mmol, 48% yield) of the desired product as a white powder assumed to be a TFA salt. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CD3OD): δ 1.20-1.45 (2H, m), 1.50-1.80 (4H, m), 1.90-2.40 (2H, m), 2.90 (3H, d), 2.95-3.21 (2H, m), 3.78 (1H, m), 4.54 (1H, d), 5.12 (1H, s), 5.92 (1H, t), 7.28 (1H, d), 7.33-7.88 (10H, m).
