2,3-Dichloro-N-{3-[4-(tetrahydro-2-pyranyloxymethyl)phenylmethoxy]-2-pyrazinyl}benzenesulphonamide (Example 11a) in acetic acid (10 mL), water (2.5 mL) and tetrahydrofuran (5 mL) was heated at 45° C. for 16 h and the solution was evaporated to is dryness. Chromatography on silica gel eluting with ethyl acetate/iso-hexane mixtures gave the title compound as a white solid (0.022 g).
