Reaction Steps
5-(1,2-Dimethylheptyl)-3-methoxyphenol (10.0 g) of Example V, and N-methyl-4-piperidone (4.45 g) were dissolved in 20 ml acetic acid and saturated with HCl gas. Ether was added and the resulting solid recrystallized from isopropyl alcohol-ether. Yield 7.32 g, m.p. 96°-97°.
