Procedure
2 g of 4-(3,5-bis-trifluoromethyl-benzenesulfonylaminocarbonyl)-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert.-butyl ester are dissolved in a mixture of 1 ml MeOH and 9 ml of CH2Cl2. The resulting mixture is treated at RT with 20 ml of 3 N HCl in (C2H5)2O for ca. 16 hours. Solvent is evaporated and N-(piperidine-4-carbonyl)-3,5-bis-trifluoromethyl-benzenesulfonamide in the form of a hydrochloride is obtained. m.p. 285-291°.
