Procedure

To a solution of {1-[(5-Isopropyl-isoxazol-3-yl)-trimethylsilanyloxy-methyl]-propyl}-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester in dry dichloromethane (5 mL) under N2 is added a 4M solution of HCl in dioxane (5.0 mL, XS). The mixture is stirred at room temperature for 22 h, then concentrated in vacuum to afford the amine salt (475 mg, 99%) as a solid.
