From 4-methylthiazole and 4-methyl-2-trifluoroacetylthiazole and using anhydrous tetrahydrofuran as solvent. M.p. 140°-142.5° C. 13C Nmr (CDCl3) 17.0, 77.5 (q, J 31 Hz), 117.1, 122.6 (q, J 284 Hz), 152.5 and 163.9 ppm.
