Reaction Steps
3.0 g of N-tert-butyl-2-ethylsulfonyl-5-formylaminobenzenesulfonamide are stirred in 20 ml of trifluoroacetic acid. When the reaction has ended, the trifluoroacetic acid is distilled off. The residue is stirred with a little ethyl acetate. After the solid has been separated off and dried, 1.65 g of the desired sulfonamide are obtained; melting point: 186° to 189° C.
