Reaction Steps
m-Nitroanisole was prepared by reacting m-dinitrobenzene with sodium methoxide at 25° C. for 16 hours in hexamethylphosphotriamide solvent (N. Kornblum et al., J. Org. Chem., 41, 1560 (1976)).
