Procedure
Ethyl 2-(2-aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-pentyloxyiminoacetate (syn isomer, 28.6 g.), 2N aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide (100.2 ml.), methanol (100 ml.) and tetrahydrofuran (100 ml.) were treated in a similar manner to that of Example F-(4) to give 2-(2-aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-pentyloxyiminoacetic acid (syn isomer, 22.4 g.), mp 176° C. (dec.).
