Reaction of 4'-methoxy-2-biphenylylisothiocyanate (12.7 g) in ethanol (30 ml) with 28% aqueous ammonia (20 ml) at 0° C. for 2 hours gave N-(4'-methoxy-2-biphenylyl)thiourea (m.p. 158°-159° C.).
