Procedure
To 400 ml of an aqueous solution containing 8.4 g of sodium hydrogen carbonate, 25.3 g of 4-(n-butyloxycarbonylamino)salicylic acid was gradually added and dissolved at room temperature. The solution obtained was dropwise added to 200 ml of an aqueous solution containing 14.9 g of zinc sulfate 7 hydrate over 20 minutes at room temperature. After finishing dropwise addition, the mixture was further stirred for 30 minutes. Precipitated crystals were filtered, washed with water, and dried to obtain 26 g of desired zinc 4-(n-butyloxycarbonylamino)salicylate.
