To a solution of the product from Step B (0.17 g, 0.39 mmol) in 10 mL of DCM was added 5 mL of HCl/Et2O and the mixture was stirred at RT for 2 hours and then concentrated. The residue was dissolved in 20 mL of EtOH and added K2CO3 (163 mg, 1.18 mmol), and then the mixture was refluxed for 4 hours. The reaction mixture was filtered and concentrated and the residue was used directly for next step.
