3-(6-Chloro-1,2-dimethyl-1H-indol-3-ylsulfanyl)-benzoic acid methyl ester (0.079 g, 0.23 mmol) was dissolved in MeOH:THF (1:1, 5 mL) and LiOH (2.30 mL, 1M aq., 2.3 mmol) was added. The reaction was stirred at room temperature overnight then submitted to aqueous workup procedure. Purification by preparatory HPLC (10-100% ACN in H2O) to yield the title compound.
