3-(1-Benzyl-6-chloro-2-methyl-1H-indol-3-ylsulfanyl)-benzaldehyde oxime from the previous step was dissolved in acetic anhydride (0.500 mL) and the reaction was heated to 135° C. overnight. The reaction mixture was diluted with EtOAc then concentrated and purified by silica gel chromatography (0-50% EtOAc in hexanes) to give the title compound.
