2-Amino-3-{[4′-(tert-butyl-dimethyl-silanyloxymethyl)-2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-biphenyl-4-carbonyl]-amino}-5-methyl-benzoic acid methyl ester (2.4 g, 4.16 mmol) was dissolved in glacial acetic acid (75 mL) and stirred and refluxed for 4 hours. Progress of the reaction was monitored by TLC. Acetic acid was distilled under vacuum and the resulting residue was quenched with ice cold water. The precipitate was washed with water and dried (2.0 g, 84.03%) which was directly taken to the next step.
