A mixture of 4-(5-chloro-furo[2,3-c]pyridin-2-yl)-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (0.20 g), 5-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-[1,3,2]dioxaborolan-2-yl)-2-triisopropylsilanyl-oxazole (0.35 g), 2 M aqueous Na2CO3 solution (0.8 mL), and N,N-dimethylformamide (3 mL) is sparged with argon for 10 min. PdCl2[1,1′-bis(diphenylphosphino)-ferrocene]*CH2Cl2 complex (0.15 g) is added and the mixture is stirred at 80° C. overnight. The mixture is concentrated, diluted with water and methanol, and purified by HPLC on reversed phase (methanol/water) to give the title compound. LC (method 4): tR=2.07 min; Mass spectrum (ESI+): m/z=526 [m+H]+.
