6-(1,1-Difluoro-propyl)-3,3-dimethyl-2,3-dihydro-pyrrolo[3,2-b]pyridine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (0.245 g, 0.75 mmol) was dissolved in 5M aqueous HCl and MeOH (1:1, 10 mL) and the reaction was stirred at room temperature for 18 h. The solvent was removed in vacuo, to give the title compound (0.178 g) MS: [M+H]+=227.
