To a mixture of (S)-tert-butyl 3-((3-cyano-8-fluoroisoquinolin-1-yl)oxy)pyrrolidine-1-carboxylate (600 mg, 1.61 mmol) in MeOH (15 mL) was added NH2NH2—H2O (10 mL) and the resulting mixture was heated to reflux for 2 hours. The solvent was removed in vacuo to afford the title compound as a white solid, which was used without further purification (500 mg).
